The Faculty of Air Navigation, Electronics and Telecommunications continues to develop modern practical infrastructure and expand cooperation with technology companies. Another important step in this direction was the opening of Viatec Innovate Lab, established in partnership with VIATEC.
The new laboratory has become a state-of-the-art educational and practical space where students can work with the technologies and equipment currently used in real-world engineering and tech projects. Viatec Innovate Lab integrates several high-demand areas at once: video surveillance and security systems, network infrastructure, and energy solutions.
The lab is equipped with solutions from leading technology manufacturers, including Hikvision, Dahua, U-PROX, Ruijie, Reyee, MikroTik, Victron Energy, Solis, and Dyness. Thanks to this, students will have the opportunity not only to study these technologies theoretically, but also to gain hands-on experience in configuring, integrating, testing, and operating modern equipment.
The opening ceremony was attended by KAI President Kseniia Semenova, CEO of VIATEC Dmytro Iievliev, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine and Deputy Head of the KAI Supervisory Board Roman Hryshchuk, serviceman and member of the KAI Supervisory Board Anton Senenko, Dean of FAET Roman Odarchenko, and Head of Viatec Academy Volodymyr Vovk, who presented the capabilities of the new space and the training courses planned to be implemented there.
Viatec Innovate Lab will be used for practical classes, student projects, professional training, and specialized courses. Working with real equipment will allow students to better understand the principles of building modern systems, acquire practical engineering skills, and become familiar with solutions already applied in the professional field.
For FAET, the development of such laboratories is an essential component of an educational model that combines academic knowledge with hands-on training and ongoing industry collaboration. This partnership also creates new opportunities to update educational components, implement joint student and engineering projects, and train specialists whose competencies meet current market demands.
