The Department of Telecommunications and Radio Electronic Systems of the National Aviation University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” is an educational and research division that has been training specialists in telecommunications, radio engineering, and information and communication systems since 1965. The department combines a classical engineering school with modern technologies in networking, cybersecurity, and digital services.

Education is provided at the bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels. Students study telecommunication networks, IP telephony, 5G/6G technologies, cybersecurity, and signal processing while gaining practical skills in network protocols, QoS, and AI solutions.

The educational process is based on modern laboratories, including the KAI Huawei Excellence Center, Vodafone, Viatec, and specialized R&D laboratories. Students work with real equipment, network emulators, and software platforms for testing telecommunication solutions.

The department cooperates with leading IT and telecommunications companies, providing opportunities for internships, practical training, and participation in joint projects. Students are involved in international academic programs, research initiatives, and competitions, while graduates work in telecommunications, networking technologies, cybersecurity, and software development.

The Department of ACS at KAI (Kyiv Aviation Institute) trains hands-on engineers who create the "intelligence" for modern aircraft. We specialize in control systems, avionics, and robotics. Here, you will learn to design everything from autopilots to complex autonomous systems for aviation and DefenseTech.

We offer programs in UAV engineering, robotics programming, and avionics maintenance. Students master C++ and Python, learn to program microcontrollers, and develop navigation algorithms. Our curriculum bridges fundamental theory with the development of embedded computer systems.

Training takes place in the state-of-the-art Ajax Next Avia laboratory and the NAURocket design bureau. You will work with professional-grade equipment: STM32 controllers, Lidars, GPS systems, and flight stacks (ArduPilot, PX4). You will have the opportunity to transform your ideas into real prototypes of rockets and drones.

We involve students in R&D projects from their very first years. Through collaborations with Baykar and Boeing Ukraine, you can develop computer vision algorithms and intelligent control systems. Our students turn software code into functioning hardware and win international hackathons.

Thanks to our dual education system, you can officially work at Boeing, Antonov State Enterprise, or Ajax Systems even before graduation. Our alumni are highly sought-after embedded systems architects and UAV software developers. Furthermore, Erasmus+ international programs offer opportunities for studying and internships abroad.

The Department of Electronics, Robotics, Monitoring Technologies and the Internet of Things of the National Aviation University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” is an educational and research division that trains specialists in electronics, robotics, IoT, and embedded programming. The department combines engineering education with modern IoT, biomedical, and digital electronics technologies.

Education is provided at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. Students study electronic systems, microcontrollers, sensor networks, and IoT while gaining practical skills in circuit design, embedded programming, signal processing, and AI solutions. The educational process is based on modern laboratories in electronics, robotics, and IoT, including Ajax, the Sky Design Bureau, and antenna systems laboratories. Students work with measuring equipment, microcontroller platforms, sensor modules, and robotic systems.

The department cooperates with companies in the fields of electronics, embedded systems, and IoT, providing opportunities for internships, practical training, and participation in joint projects. Students are involved in international programs, scientific research, and technical competitions, while graduates work in electronics, robotics, IoT, and embedded systems.

The department actively develops research in electronics, antenna systems, radar technologies, signal processing, and AI. International and state-funded projects are carried out, and the results are published in scientific journals and presented at conferences.

The Department of Air Navigation Systems of the National Aviation University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” (founded in 1986) is an educational and research division that trains specialists in air transport, air navigation systems, air traffic management, and unmanned systems. The department provides engineering education focused on navigation and airspace monitoring.

Education is provided at the bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels. Students study air traffic management, communication, navigation, and surveillance systems, as well as the development and operation of UAVs. Considerable attention is paid to the practical training of air traffic controllers and remote piloting of unmanned aerial systems.

The educational process is based on modern laboratories of satellite technologies, radio navigation, surveillance systems, and unmanned aerial systems. Students work with navigation equipment, UAV systems, and air traffic control simulators.

The department cooperates with companies in the field of unmanned systems, UkSATSE, and EUROCONTROL, providing opportunities for internships, practical training, and participation in joint projects. Students are involved in international programs, research activities, and technical competitions, while graduates work in aviation, air traffic management, UAV technologies, and airspace safety.

The department actively develops research in navigation, communication, and surveillance systems. International and state-funded projects are carried out, and the results are published in scientific journals and presented at conferences.
