
Studies, research, mobility and student life at the Faculty of Aeronautics, Electronics and Telecommunications
FAET's academic process meets contemporary higher-education standards and international requirements for aviation specialists. Studies follow the ECTS credit transfer system, which ensures compatibility with European universities and simplifies academic mobility.
The academic process is delivered by more than 80 candidates of science and over 40 doctors of science. Faculty laboratories are equipped with the latest equipment from Rohde & Schwarz, Huawei, MikroTik, Intel PSG, Xilinx and other global manufacturers. The curricula of all educational and professional programs are coordinated with partner employers.

FAET students can study and intern at leading European universities under the Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe academic mobility programs:
A scholarship program for studies in Latvia is also available, as well as Mitacs Globalink grants for internships in Canada.
Each department runs student research clubs. Students take part in international and Ukrainian scientific conferences, publish in peer-reviewed journals and file for patents.

In 2023, with student participation, 144 articles and conference papers were published, 69 of them by students independently. One faculty student is a recipient of the President of Ukraine scholarship.
FAET students can earn international professional certifications at no additional cost:
The FAET Student Council is the student self-government body that represents students of the faculty. The council organizes cultural events, sports competitions and volunteer initiatives, and helps resolve everyday student matters.
Each year the "Best Academic Group" contest is held, encouraging academic activity and team cohesion. Student surveys on the quality of education are used to improve the academic process.

KAI offers a rich extracurricular life:
Dormitories: 12 buildings with about 5,500 places, rooms for 2-4 people, first-year students have priority. Also available: a medical center, sports facilities and canteens (about 15 UAH per meal).
Academic scholarship
Regular - 2,000 UAH/month, increased - 2,910 UAH/month. Awarded to 40-45% of state-funded students, the top 15% receive the increased amount
Named scholarships
Presidential and parliamentary - 4,400 UAH/month; Cabinet of Ministers - 4,000 UAH/month
