
A structural subdivision of FAET that trains specialists in the fields of avionics, control systems, robotics, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The ASU Department was created in August 2024 by merging the Avionics Department (est. 1967) and the Department of Aerospace Control Systems (est. 1965). It trains specialists in computer control systems, robotics, avionics and engineering solutions for complex systems.
Specialties: G7 'Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics' and G12 'Aviation and Aerospace Engineering'. Educational programs: Computerized Control Systems and Automation; Avionics (flight and navigation equipment); UAV Engineering; Robotics Programming.
Partners: AJAX Systems (KAI-AJAX LAB), ANTONOV, Arsenal, DTEK, AV-AVIONICS, Progresstech-Ukraine, DKB Luch, FUIB (scholarship program). Laboratories: aviation systems, optoelectronics and laser technologies, Coriolis vibratory gyroscopes.
Notable alumni: Taras Chmut - founder of the 'Come Back Alive' foundation; Oleksandr Volkov - director of IITS NASU; Hryhoriy Rudyuk - chief designer at Antonov.
